¿ªÔªÕæÈË Core Values
De La Salle University, guided by the legacy of Saint John Baptist de La Salle, is committed to forming individuals who embody excellence, integrity, and social responsibility. As an internationally recognized Catholic institution, ¿ªÔªÕæÈË integrates faith, knowledge, and service in its pursuit of human development and social transformation.
Rooted in Lasallian tradition, ¿ªÔªÕæÈË upholds three core values that shape its mission and identity: Faith, Service, and Communion. These values are not just principles to be learned, but ways of living that permeate every aspect of university life. They are integral to our vision of nurturing a community of scholars, leaders, and professionals dedicated to building a just, humane, and sustainable world.
Together, these values define our purpose, our actions, and our approach to fulfilling the Lasallian mission.
Faith (Spirit of Faith)
It explains “why” we do what we do. ¿ªÔªÕæÈË is committed to nurturing a community of distinguished and morally upright scholars that harmonizes faith and life with contemporary knowledge in order to generate and propagate new knowledge for human development and social transformation.
Service (Zeal for Service)
It describes “what” we do in response to our faith. ¿ªÔªÕæÈË is committed to being a resource for Church and nation and to being socially responsible in building a just, peaceful, stable, and progressive Filipino nation.
Communion (Communion in Mission)
It explains “how” we go about our work – together and by association. ¿ªÔªÕæÈË is committed to building a community of leaders, competent professionals, scholars, researchers, and entrepreneurs, who will participate actively in improving the quality of life in Philippine society within the perspective of Christian ideals and values.
