St. Miguel Febres Cordero Scholarship Program
The Saint Miguel Febres Cordero PhD Scholarship Program offers a comprehensive scholarship package to qualified full-time students enrolled in any PhD academic program at ¿ªÔªÕæÈË(¿ªÔªÕæÈË). This scholarship includes a full waiver of tuition and fees, along with a monthly stipend for four academic years. This scholarships are awarded through a competitive, merit-based selection process.
Application Requirements and Procedure
Term 1, AY 2025-26
Important Notes:
- For incoming applicants, scholarship applications will only be processed after they complete the graduate application steps for their desired degree program. Applicants will be required to provide their application reference number upon submitting the complete scholarship application documents.
- The St. Miguel Febres Cordero Scholarship Program is available only for Doctoral Programs.

All new, incoming graduate students must be reminded that the application for scholarship is processed simultaneously with their application for admission.
- Upload the scanned copies of the following documents to the Google Form provided above.
- Curriculum Vitae (CV):
A comprehensive CV detailing the applicant’s academic background, research experiences, publications, awards, and other relevant achievements.. - Personal Statement:
A narrative essay (maximum of 500 words) describing the applicant’s academic goals, research interests, and how the scholarship will help them achieve these goals.
- Letters of Recommendation:
At least two letters of recommendation from previous professors or employers, highlighting the applicant’s academic and/or professional achievements, work ethic, and potential for success in graduate studies.

Important Note:For confidentiality reasons, please ask your evaluator to upload the recommendation letter using this Google Form: .Ìý(Note: There is no required format for Recommendation Letters)
- Transcript of Records:Â For Both Undergraduate and Graduate Programs
Official academic transcripts from the applicant’s educational institutions, detailing academic performance. This should include records from the most recent institution attended as well as any other relevant academic records.
- Certificate of Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) or Grade Weighted Average (GWA):Â For Both Undergraduate and Graduate Programs
An official document issued and certified by the school registrar, detailing the applicant’s overall academic performance in both undergraduate and graduate programs. This certificate must reflect the cumulative CGPA or GWA, as calculated by the academic institution, and serve as formal proof of the applicant’s scholastic standing.
- Proof of Academic Excellence:
Any relevant documents such as awards, honors, publications, or other recognitions that demonstrate the applicant’s academic excellence and contributions to their field.
- Research Proposal
A detailed research proposal outlining the intended research project, its significance, methodology, and expected outcomes.
- Master’s Thesis Abstract
A concise summary of the completed Master’s thesis, highlighting its core components.
