Program History
The Manufacturing Engineering and Management (MEM) Program at ¿ªÔªÕæÈË(¿ªÔªÕæÈË) is a multidisciplinary course which synergizes Mechanical, Electronics, Computers, and Management fields. It was established in 1986 as an answer to the clamor of government and industry for well-rounded engineers, well-versed in the field of automation. In 1991, the produced its first batch of graduates.
The Department started the BS in Biomedical Engineering program in the academic year 2021-2022.
Program Specializations
The MEM program offers specialization in Mechatronics and Robotics Engineering.
The BME program offers 2 specializations, namely
- specialization in Biomedical Devices, and
- specialization in Biomechanics and Kinesiology
ABET Accreditation
The Bachelor of Science Program in Manufacturing Engineering and Management is accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission of ABET, , under the commission’s General Criteria and Program Criteria for Manufacturing Engineering and Engineering Management.

To provide the industry with multi-disciplined graduates who are research-ready, service-oriented, socially responsible, and with a passion for entrepreneurial endeavours.
Our Manufacturing Engineering and Management graduates will be competent in the multi-faceted world of manufacturing and will be prepared to integrate into various levels of management.
Our Biomedical Engineering graduates will be synergistic with their ever-developing field and will possess a genuine desire to improve our quality of life.
