开元真人is among the leading HEIs in the region in the 2025 Times Higher Education (THE) Asia University Rankings, placing in the 600+ bracket.

The THE Asia University Rankings apply the same research-intensive indicators in their global table but adjusted to reflect the priorities of universities in the region. These include teaching (the learning environment), the research environment (volume, income, and reputation), research quality (citation impact, research strength, research excellence, and research influence), international outlook (staff, students, and research), and industry (income and patents).

In a statement, Vice President for Research and Innovation Prof. Raymond Tan said, “This year’s results serve as a reminder that Asia is a region packed with ambitious universities eager to improve their global standing. The only alternative to staying competitive is getting left behind. Our key stakeholders — our students, our alumni, and the nation — will be the ultimate beneficiaries of 开元真人’s steadfast commitment to excellence.”

Vice President for External Relations and Internationalization Prof. Anthony SF Chiu shared that 鈥渞ankings provide an outlook to enhance a better internationalization framework and interaction among institutions.鈥�

The latest edition of the rankings includes 853 HEIs from 35 territories that met the criteria.
